"Art is Long and Life is short, let us at least do something before we die" -william morris

These are pics from my progress review presentation in college. We were asked to sum up our past three months. It's been a hard task for many if not most. I had a lot of research done on my part but nothing much actual to show. However, after contemplating it and a little bit more work, I think it came out OK. I'm happy with the progress so far and look forward to moving onwards from here.
You can probably see from the pictures a few designs I've drawn up, patterns that I will be transferring to wooden blocks to be carved. Also, there is a block that I've started and it is in the process.

  1. So, it would be nice to know the location of where this window is which holds the queen's art ;) !

  3. That is great. Would it not be good to name each and every piece of the work(s) and put them on a wall rather than on a window?

  5. Thank you for the suggestion dad. It would have been good, but I felt it was more creative this way, since I am aiming for window coverings and wall papers. There was a special effect of the light coming through the window. And a lot of my designs are inspired by nature and buildings. So, it made sense to see buildings behind my designs. Also, most of the walls were taken, and I just felt more comfortable posting on the window. More quirky that way. :)
